Saturday : The Celebration

Madame Chef was busy in the kitchen with the 'assistance' of Mademoiselle Farissa.. I was told that some friends of Madame Chef were to come and 'beraya' that evening..... yer lah tu hehehehe...

Despite my 'amaran keras' dan ugutan demi ugutan, these people were so determined to go ahead with The Celebration. So, I have no choice... sob, sob.. sampainya hatimu... hehehehehe...

As always, lepas habis dinner, semua cari tempat untuk 'berlabuh', the common place being in front of the TV. Do you notice the photo with the red circle? According to the owner, that's a very expensive watch, which is why I am taking a special effort to make it noticeable.

As you can see, some were still enjoying The Cake.. and yes, a certain someone, was busy "powwing" people here and there... hehehehe that's The Niece, The Adorable Darling.

Saturday : Just Another Story

Yesterday, Saturday, October 27, 2007 was just another Saturday. But it was in no way an ordinary Saturday for me. In the morning I went out with Anis to the Festive to get my usual Saturday papers. I let her ride one of those Donald Duck yang ada kena bubuh token tu.. she was thrilled. I know she wanted to ride it again for the second round, but when people started to gather around her to watch, dia dah tak mahu naik lagi.

Back home, everybody was busy in the kitchen. My sister-in-law was busy since Friday night making cupcakes and I was told that her friends from office would come to beraya on Saturday night. She's making Nasi Tomato and her special Ayam Golek and all.

Then my Uncle and Aunt datang nak visit my Grandma. She brought her homemade Nasi Beringin, berlaukkan Kari Daging, Sambal Sotong and Acar. So tasty, I tell you especially the Nasi Beringin. The smell was so fragrant, macam bau nasi kenduri. Kemudian ada pula Ikan Lais Masak Lemak Cili Api. That was my late lunch. Sebenarnya I baru saja belajar makan ikan sungai since last year, as with some of the ulam-ulaman.

And my sister's friend, Ila datang berhari raya with her hub and daughter Aishah...

And as it was, Aishah and Anis became fast friends, my niece memang friendly..

It was in the late afternoon that my Mom informed me about The Celebration. That left no room for me to escape. Haiya...

The Iceman Won!

I am so, so happy! He won! The Iceman won! My Kimi Raikkonen of Ferrari won the 2007 Formula One World Championship. Congrats to Ferrari, Kimi and Felipe!

I will write more about this hero of mine.. in the meantime, do drool over these...

Eternal Love

Punyalah sayang kan.. sampai buat cookies pun letak nama my lover ni...ahahahaha... presenting The Dalton Wholemeal Cookies. Like I said, I akan attempt lagi buat kuih raya yang tak jadi haritu. So malam tadi dengan guidance from my SIL The Lakeside Cafe Pastry Chef, berjaya juga buat kuih raya ni.

Happy betul dapat buat. Last night my sisters were having friends over - beraya lah. So after the baking was completed it was a late night buffet-supper for my SIL, my brother and me in the kitchen.

Maybe, well just maybe, after this nak attempt bake a cake pula.. to be named Dalton too.. *wink*

Aidilfitri 2007

Salam Aidilfitri to everyone, Mohon Maaf Zahir Dan Batin atas segala kesilapan. Aidilfitri this year for me is biasa-biasa saja. Kinda embarassing though, because I stayed so late the night before Raya, straightening things dekat tingkat atas. The results.. hah ambikkk.. I spent 1st Syawal drifting in and out of sleep.

Sebelah malam pula semua orang dah pergi berhari-raya rumah nenek sebelah ayah, yang tinggal hanya my Mother and my Grandmother (my mother's mother), diaorang dah ke sana waktu petang. Even my niece was out with her parents. So I camped in front of the TV lah jawabnya. And my aunt and her three daughters came to our place.

Second hari raya barulah I 'jumpa' orang lain, in the sense that diaorang datang beraya. That's my father's siblings with all my cousins. I belum ada berhari raya ke rumah sesiapa pun, even as I am typing this entry heheh. I haven't left my house since 30th Ramadhan.. which is quite handal lah.. lagipun since malam raya haritu the weather was cold, especially in the evening. Jangan tak percaya, malam raya JB City ni diselubungi kabus yang agak tebal juga.. romantic gitu, macam di Cameron.

Juadah hari raya, except for ketupat, rendang dan lemang, boleh dikatakan semua juadah tu I dah merasa ketika puasa, so tak ada apa sangatlah yang special to me. I stayed close to my niece, seronok betul melayan dan mengusik dia. At present she's in Pahang, celebrating Raya with her grandmother and relatives there. Been in Pahang since 2nd Syawal. Miss her greatly...

My 007

Alright, I mengaku I ada jealous sikit tengok the above photo - Tim Dalton, his wife and their son. Tapi sikit saja la. And yes, even until now I have to admit he is still handsome. Been watching an interview with him on his latest movie, Hot Fuzz. Must go and get the DVD.

Anyway, one thing for sure, I cannot be his Bond Girl. Why? Yalah, nanti it will confuse people and will make him looks bad. People will say eh, kenapa Bond Girl lagi terer daripada Bond? Siapa yang jadi hero sebenarnya?

yeah, still on my Mr. Bond... this song is part of the soundtrack for The Living Daylights. It is played at the very last part, bila cerita dah habis. I like this one, tapi.. hehehe sekali dengar macam kelakar pun ada.. alahai so unfortunate and so, so pathetic hehehe... tapi takpelah Timothy Dalton punya pasal, semua pun boleh. *wink*

How on earth...

I pun tak tau macam mana I boleh ter'sangkut' dengan dia ni. He's Timothy Dalton, my favourite James Bond (007). I think within this month I have watched The Living Daylights at Star Movies for 5 times at the very least. He is my number one James Bond, lepas tu baru Pierce Brosnan. Yang lain semua tak minat. Thing is, Tim Dalton cuma appear twice in James Bond movies. Itulah dianya. Yang kita suka, sekejap saja ada, yang tak suka itu berlambak-lambak.

Yes, I am well aware that dia sekarang dah tua, probably dah tak ada gigi pun. So what? I just like him in Bond movies. Especially in The Living Daylights. "Believe me, my interest in her is purely professional" - this line reminds me of a certain someone. I memang suka sangat Tim in The Living Daylights. Siapa yang dah tengok mesti tahulah. Memanglah Bond is a womaniser, but Timothy Dalton ni, style dia lain sikit. When he's mad at someone, he's mad. Tak kisahlah if it's someone he likes ke apa. Itu yang best. Sarcastic je tak pasal-pasal like someone tu kan. Hahaha. That, I find very challenging.

I do not like my man to agree with me all the time, nor would I like him to, you know, praise me constantly. I am not the kind of woman who needs to be reassured 24/7. See, itulah caranya seseorang itu menjadi 'tidak cerdik' lagi membosankan. And I do not want him to be by my side around the clock. Please, give me time to miss you, heheheh.

See, I bukan minat dia kerana dia handsome. That he is handsome is only secondary. It's his attitude that counts. ATTITUDE COMES FIRST. IF THE ATTITUDE S*CKS, THEN IT IS A BIG TIME LOSS.

Whatever it is.. alahai dia ni bestlah.. siapa belum tengok, I recommend tengoklah The Living Daylights and Licence To Kill.
