TV Highlights - An Addition.

Uppppsy! Tambah skit je lagi. Tadi around 11 pm something, I saw this one movie at Channel 702 in my parents' bedroom. Tajuk dia In A Class Of His Own. Regrettably masa I tengok tu dah macam lagi 15 minutes nak habis.. cerita dia macam menarik aje, about a man trying to finish high school. Not sure how it started, tapi lepas ni nak tengok lagi from the beginning. Yay! Another one to be added to my movie list. Hah! As if I am running out of movies to watch plak.. Oh, and I am in the process to 'meracun' my Dad suruh tengok Snakes On A Plane. Tadi pagi masa I tengok he was out with Mom. Ni tadi sengaja la tinggalkan HBO running in their room, sebab that movie was running at 1 am. Kot la dia tengok. Dia rajin juga tengok movies.

For the past few weeks selalunya I watch TV on a regular basis with my siblings - tengok Iris kat TV3. Now that Iris dah habis, kita semua tengah cari cerita apa pula yang best. Not sure that the replacement - Ai 'D' Beijing tu best ke tak. We''ll see.

Note : Later tonight, at 10 pm ada A Model Life With Petra : Model's Diet. Huhuhu janganlah terlupa. Tapi ada rerun the next morning.

Wave's TV Highlights

Just wanna list down the movies that I have watched in the last 30 days. Saja la, since I ni memang antu movie. And I bukan saja tengok cerita yang famous, kekadang cerita lama-lama pun I layan especially yang Investigation and Mystery. Memang minat sangat.

Apa lagi.. hmm tak ingatlah. Oh, Venom, Snakes On A Plane and House Of Wax tu I memang ada vcd nya tapi tak pernah tengok pun. And I have tons of vcds and dvds yang belum sempat ditengok atau seru belum sampai. Yeah the first three tu memang I tak ada vcd or dvd dia. Tapi ada sikit menyesal campur ngeri tengok Rattled and Snakes On A Plane. Because it made me jumpy and extra cautious. Ular beb, tak melilau plak mata aku kan time masuk bilik air or time keluar ke laman. Paling jahat citer Rattled la. Ada one scene tu, memula dia ambik baju dalam laundry basket, sekali dalam tu ada rattlesnake. Then just imagine, dia flush that rattlesnake dalam toilet and then later dia toleh belakang air toilet tu melimpah tetiba that snake keluar sekali Eeewwwwwwwww!

I suka juga old movies, especially those based on Mary Higgin Clark's books like We'll Meet Again, Pretend You Don't See Her, Loves Music Loves To Dance, and some Investigation and Mystery ones like When Strangers Appear, Voice From The Grave. Hallmark pun banyak such movies.

Apart from movies, now I suka tengok A Model Life With Petra (currrent obsession), Nigella's Christmas Kitchen, Jamie's Kitchen, Passport To (any destination), in short Travel and Living is a must. Then, cartoon plak, like I said, Kampung Boy and Thomas. Malay movies pun tengok, but selected few. Martha Stewart ngan Party Planner with David Tutera pun layan.

News and Biz news pun compulsory, also The Exchange on Friday Evening.

Reality show? Well I missed Ladette to Lady, really missed that one. I did watch Sehati Berdansa. I loved to watch Fort Buoyard in BBC when I was in UK. Used to like Fear Factor too. Now tak berapa la.

RIMAS! i am undertaking several projects, the nature of which are very confidential, not for public knowledge - yet. and the weather down here is really unpredictable. bright and sunny in the morning and a heavy rain in the afternoon and late night. hence, the flu...

Alright, I mengaku I ada jealous sikit tengok the above photo - Tim Dalton, his wife and their son. Tapi sikit saja la. And yes, even until now I have to admit he is still handsome. Been watching an interview with him on his latest movie, Hot Fuzz. Must go and get the DVD.

Anyway, one thing for sure, I cannot be his Bond Girl. Why? Yalah, nanti it will confuse people and will make him looks bad. People will say eh, kenapa Bond Girl lagi terer daripada Bond? Siapa yang jadi hero sebenarnya?

1. To Princess, Wira, Mimi, Strawberry, Nia, Jidan, & Yati ~ kalau I dah terer buat nanti I will bake cuppies with your respective initials on it, I promise.

2. The cake was great.. mega-delicious.. the icing, well first of all we didn't manage to "simen" the cupcake surface..tersalah teknik ke apa.. and the syrup for the icing also tak jadi.. but the icing tasted good.. sebab cake dah manis, so icing tak perlu terlalu manis.

3. The toppings, well this was our first try so tak dapatlah nak come out with designs yang illustrious like those of Sweetfrosting's. Lagipun kita tengok Sweetfrosting punya cuppies just to get some ideas. Those are the work of professionals. Bukan senang nak tekan the tube and decorate. Sudahlah icing tu licin hehe.

4. The photos are supposed to be brighter than that, but the person in charge di photo shop tu tak edit dulu before printing, so tak berapa clear. Those photo are from the phone camera. Sepatutnya gambar cuppies dalam tray tu full shot bukan macam yang dalam gambar tu. Nanti bila kita ada gambar yang lebih elok, baru nampak the cuppies.

Bits and Pieces

Tomorrow will recommence the wedding preps with Aunt. Last week berhenti for a while, sebab dia nak issue invitations.

Saturday's project was a success with the exception of the cupcake toppings. The cake, the marble cake was mega-delicious. My SIL is definitely an ace in pastries. I told her repeatedly that she should go commercial but she said it's only for families. Well, maybe she should do the specials for our lakeside *wink* The toppings, well first of all I screwed up the syrup, or rather the syrup tu memang suwey. Second attempt was no better either, so we went ahead anyway.

We did not have success on doing the icing decoration. After all it was our first attempt, but it was not that bad actually. My Mom and Sis said it was beautifully decorated. I will post the photos here later on, see for yourself. Later nanti nak cuba lagi, insya Allah we will do much better the next time.

Earlier this evening, pergi tempah baju for my cousin's wedding. Hahaha my vital stats figures declined. YES! YES! YES! Must work out more!

Scrapbooking

my latest love affair - scrapbooking. been reading and studying about it, and recently when i saw Yatie's wonderful work of art, i felt very motivated to start. i haven't got the appropriate scrabooking tools or the acid-free materials yet. I only have this, which i bought last week :

Simply Lovely

I love these. They are patterns from greeting cards. They are simply lovely. Other than greeting cards, I also love gift-wrappers. I love to wrap gifts, and am the official family gift-wrapper. I am looking into designing invites for parties and all. For personal events, of course. Nothing commercial. What would I call them? The Lakeside Cafe Design, of course. Ulam-Ulaman

Okay who likes to eat ulam-ulaman? Me!

these few days, it's Peria Katak or Bitter Gourd (no idea why it is called 'katak' but the peria yang kecil-kecil tu, not the long one). It's good, according to my Dad. Banyak sangat khasiatnya, paling popular ialah to control the sugar level.

Yes, rasanya mak datuk pahit. Nasi boleh jadi pahit bila I kunyah dengan peria katak :) But I do not mind at all. Lately rasanya lebih senang makan ulam-ulaman and sayur-sayuran berbanding masa kecil dahulu. I totally hate vege dulu-dulu.

Sekarang, kalau tak ada sayur, tak sah rasanya. But I don't really like sawi. Dulu masa my sis-in-law in confinement period, she had to eat the lobak putih. Itu pun I tumpang sekaki. Sibuk aje, kan heheh. Doesn't taste good, but I like it. And I do eat terung, petola, ulam raja, daun tenggek burung, pegaga, jantung pisang (baru belajar). Tapi sekarang memang tengah gila makan peria katak. Hah terung hutan yang comel-comel tu pun I makan. Internal cleansing konon-kononnya..luckily they are easily available here in JB.

Sekarang ni my aim is to reduce caffeine intake. I memang gila minum Nescafe. Addicted, okay. No good, no good, no good.

But the best part is, bila buat blood test, my blood memang normal dan bersih hehehe. Alhamdulillah. Dunno how, mungkin sebab I selalu minum plain water agaknya. And the doctor siap puji lagi ada this one element in my blood is higher than the average for women. Tak ingat apa dia.. dia kata "kalau perempuan selalunya 6-7, but yours is 11. Which is very good". Tapi i tak ingat apa dia the element. Tapi I did surf the internet, and from my reading, I found out it could be because I don't really drink tea. Yeah, I don't really like tea.

Torture

I love torturing myself. Like how? Oh-oh don't get me wrong. I am not suicidal, alright.

Just love torturing my body on hours of exercising.. walking up and down the hill...all in the pursuit of my dangerous and spectacular curves ;)

I am not the kind who would refrain myself from eating until I turn blue. My friend did that, she ate that Pringles thing for days, nothing else and go cycling for miles. At last she collapsed. Not me. So not me.

I never wanted to be someone beautiful but stupid.

And I'm so into dancing these days.. hahahaha for now it's cha-cha.. Cherry Pink is my favourite number.. oh and Never On Sunday..

oh you can kiss me on a monday, a monday, a monday that's very, very good... *wink*

Word Puzzle

It was raining heavily yesterday, much to my disappointment. Dah berapa hari dah tak pergi exercise ~ raining heavily with lightning and thunder. I stayed inside, not really doing anything. Had a rather very late dinner last night. Went out finally at about 10 something to buy Mushroom Fried Rice. Tapau, actually. And then drove along the coastal area. It was really cold.

Sampai rumah, I ate dinner in front of the TV. TV Dinner. From that moment onwards, I watched one show after another. From the old Do Re Mi at TV9, to Star Wars Episode IV at Star Movies, to News at 1 at RTM1. After that, The Apprentice, and then the last part of Oliver's Twist, then Floyd's and Globe Trekker to Italy. Glancing every now and then at the TV was more like it, for I was doing this :

that's only one of the many pages of the word puzzle that I did last night. My sisters yang rajin sangat buat these things. They do it all the time. This is the one yang not numbered, the fill-it-ins. And this one tak ada starting word punya. At first I cuba buat yang ada one starting word. After two puzzles I got bored and tried the one without any starting word. And then got addicted to it. Dia ada yang word puzzle, ada yang number puzzle. Selalunya I hanya buat Crossword Puzzles.

macam dah gila buat this thing lah kan.. nak beli banyak-banyak later on. Hehehe.. like my sisters said.. BERHANTU! *wink*

I might be going to KL either this evening or tomorrow. My grandmother is admitted to the hospital again. I pray that she will have a speedy recovery. Amin.

Dah Kata Dah...

went brisk-walking with Mas, on Thurs... like I said, benarlah aku akan berada dalam kesesatan yang nyata.. after 2 rounds, we stopped at the kolam kura-kura.. and lepak-lepak there to watch the kekuras.. hehe... after that i forced her to go for another round with me.. dia nak balik bukan apa.. takut la dah nearly seven.. puas la I convince kan dia kat Istana Garden memang ramai orang pun even after seven, unlike Hutan Bandar..

it was raining earlier.. so masa kita datang hujan dah berhenti but the kelkatu dalam tanah terbang-terbang.. eeeee rimasnya... and Mas got this welcome roar from the tigers at the zoo, just like me two days ago.. uh-uh wednesday tak jogging, rest one day.. not really resting.. was doing something at home...

adalah these mamat-mamat entah dari mana sedang training konon-konon di situ.. imagine ya, jalan tu sudahlah jalanraya... diaorang boleh lumba lari konon one team after another.. sambil tu sibuk usya-usya my sis.. si Mas dah berkati-kati cursing silently.. she just doesn't like this kind of people..and then konon diaorang tu buat training carrying one another.. jalan tu licin... I was asking Mas bilalah ketikanya diaorang nak slip.. I said to her " Nanti dah terjatuh depan kita kan dah menyusahkan kita nak tahan ketawa and paling ke lain" hehehehe...

yeah on the way back we passed the lido beach... sunset again... wahliaw the color was SPECTACULAR i tell you.. too bad didn't have camera with us.. cuba-cuba dengan phone camera.. tak cantik...

@ Istana Garden

Today I changed venue for brisk-walking.. I headed towards the Istana Garden.

(Info: Istana Garden is the garden of the Istana Besar Johor Bahru, The Palace for official ceremonies like birthdays, wedding and so on for the Johor Royal Family. It is also known as Muzium Di Raja Abu Bakar Johor Bahru, as part of it is opened to the public as a royal museum. Istana Besar is not to be confused with the Istana Bukit Serene. The Istana Bukit Serene is the residential palace of the Royal Family).

Yes my decision is due to the fact that I was running late.. it was 6 pm. Bukannya apa.. like I said before, Hutan Bandar has some rulings that nobody is to be in the area after 7 pm for safety reasons. But there in Istana Garden you could people running after 7 pm.. I pun tak kisah sangat sebab Istana Garden is really dalam bandar and tepi laut pun.. so ramai sangat orang.. Hutan Bandar is kind of sunyi sikit. Another popular area for jogging and brisk-walking is the Danga Bay which is the nearest to my house. But then again I tak berapa gemar sangat Danga Bay sebab ramai orang.. and most of them bukan exercise.. so tak mau la kan jadi Exhibit A bila kita exercise.. orang tengok kita pula..

Well.. sampai-sampai saja I started my brisk-walking and completed three rounds.. memang cantik lah area Istana Garden ni.. ada pokok-pokok pine ala Salem High Country.. very beautiful.. dah la atas bukit dia ada pokok-pokok pine.. background pula all the major high-rise buildings of JB.. one of these days I want to take photo there hehehe.. lagi baikkk punya daripada Salem kan? *wink* Not only that, it is facing the Straits of Tebrau.. so siapa yang kaki termenung, pujangga atau kaki berangan memang elok sangat hang out di Istana Garden ni hehehe and yang paling best tu.. nampak Singapore heheheh KL mana ada such thing miahahahaha (nak jadi jahat jap)

Oh, there at Istana Garden ada satu pond penuh kura-kura dalam tu.. berpuluh-puluh ekor.. nasiblah I pergi seorang je tadi.. kalau ada my siblings, gerenti aku tak exercise punya dan berada dalam kesesatan yang nyata.. Sebab? Diaorang suka pergi kat pond tu and bermain dengan kura-kura.. diangkatnyalah.. di 'berenang' kannya lah macam boat.. ada sekali tu merengkeh sebab terangkat kura-kura yang berat hehehe.. tapi setakat dalam kolam tu je la.. diaorang takla menyakitkan kura-kura tu diangkat keluar or anything.. so gerenti aku akan join sekali.. sesat lak ke pond walaupun tujuan asal nak exercise hehehehe..

the track.. memang cantik.. pemandangan cantik but in terms of difficulty level I prefer Hutan Bandar.. Hutan Bandar ni track dia ala-ala Survivor.. ada anak sungai and bukit curam hehehe... calang-calang orang memang tak sanggup manjat bukit Hutan Bandar tu... but as for Istana Garden.. dia more to Taman Bunga lah.. cuma yang specialnya it is actually adjacent to Zoo Johor hehehe..

Kalau sesiapa ingat a few years back ada berita dalam paper pasal harimau kumbang terlepas daripada Zoo Johor.. hehehe cuba teka kat mana diaorang jumpa? Kalau tak silap di pokok-pokok kat Istana Garden... bayangkan zaman dulu I went there.. dekat area kuda-kuda tu siap ada lubang pada pagar.. tapi tadi I tengok semua pagar dah sangat kukuh dan ada pagar berduri...still mata I melilalu ke sana sini tengok atas pokok masa lalu sebelah zoo tu.. kot la ada encik rimau kumbang atas pokok tengah aim aku hehehehe.. yang best tu dah la nampak kandang rimau belang.. siap dengar dia mengaum-ngaum... tapi itu tak takut.. cuma risau je kot kat atas pokok-pokok besar tu ada yang tengah amik port nak aim orang jogging... nak lagi best masa time rimau kumbang terlepas tu, The JB Waterfront City was still in operation.. hehehe cuba imagine.. ramai-ramai orang kat entrance lepak-lepak kat Gloria Jean semua tu tetiba ternampak kelibat harimau kumbang kat dalam tu... hehehehe.. tak gamat dunia...

so lepas brisk-walk I drove back slowly along the selat tebrau at sunset.. my favourite time of the day.. syok la tengok the colour of the sea and sky time tu... cantikk sangat... sambil dengar lagu Ocean Deep hahahaha.. then nak balik tu lalu la Danga Bay jap.. saja nak tengok track to brisk-walk.. hmmh.. tak berkenan lah... stick to the two - Istana Garden and Hutan Bandar je lah..

Or perhaps at Setia Indah Garden yang jauh bukan main tu.. itu simpan bulan 6 tunggu si Korea balik hehehehehe tapi memang mengada lah kalau pergi situ... so out of the way.. senang-senang je dia boleh kata jauhhhnya pergi exercise muehhehehhe..nasiblahkan.. JP Perdana tu bukan dia punya... but Setia Indah memang cantik...

Alright.. wanna watch vcd Hantu Jeruk Purut whatever.. teman si Lin...

Dangerous Curves

Okay the problem with rainy days is.. the ground gets slippery... memang dah beberapa kali I asyik nak tergelincir.. tapi sebab sebelum masuk kindergarten memang I dah terer roller skating so.. agak handal juga bab-bab balancing ni.. Alhamdulillah so far belum pernah gugur ke tanah lagilah... Ya, hari ini pukul empat lebih ke pukul lima lebih hujan dan guruh..walaupun tak terlalu lebat tetapi cukuplah membuatkan track di Hutan Bandar licin selicin-licinnya.. tapi tak kira, nak pergi juga.. all because of my wish to retrieve my Dangerous Curves back lah ni... *wink*

Hari ini okay sikit... waktu exercise pun dah bertambah and track pun dah makin jauh.. tapi kan semalam I ponteng jogging sebab semata-mata nak tengok VCD Jangan Pandang Belakang.. actually Monday night (sebenarnya pukul 4 pagi) dah buka sedikit.. tapi bab awal masa orang tu cuba nak keluarkan 'peliharaan' dari jasad orang yang sakit, masa selepas dia buka bumbung rumah, I nampak hantu itu melayang turun dari atas di tingkap, that was the time I off the vcd. Sebab.. tingkap bilik memang terbuka hehehehe kang ada pula yang dapat inspiration kan.. hehehe tapi I suka leave the windows terbuka.. fresh air... best sangat...

Dan hari ini.. mula-mula plan nak beli Mee Mamak, nak makan sedikit, konon nak share dengan Mas (taktik nak kurangkan makan konon-konon). Then tak jadi sebab MALU nak turun ke kedai hehehe... so.. akhirnya minta Mas ajar buat Murtabak Maggi.. tapi sebelum tu dah makan a quarter plate of Yong Tau Foo, mak i beli.. then Murtabak Maggi dah siap, cut into two, I ate half of it sebab my SIL petang tadi sebut teringin nak makan so shared with her. Elok je I habis makan murtabak maggi, si Mas pun kata "actually I bought Deluxe Cheeseburger for you". I said "Now you're telling me..." "Ala Long Mas terlupa tadi..."

She is like that, my sis. Dia memang begitu.. her friends call her Blurry.. boleh tak.. sudahlah dia yang tolong ajar dan masakkan I murtabak maggi.. dia boleh terlupa nak kata dia beli burger. Huwaaaa siapa mahu makan sekarang? So much so for dangerous curves.. kena juga makan.. esok terpaksa tambahkan rounds lagi.... Massssss *&^%+-(#$@!!!

Hari ini tak nampak Dendam Kesumat hehehe .....

Tadi malam I pergi ke Festive Street Mall sekejap.. saja jalan-jalan... I haven't changed from my workout attire yet.. and I sarung selipar my Mom saja.. still in my seluar jogging and shirt.. and I entered this mall from one of the many entrances.. boleh tak.. aku termasuk right in the middle of a function.. apparently function for chinese.. tak taulah jamuan ke, beauty pageant ke.. i masuk from belakang stage (later I found out) terus ke khalayak ramai yang tengah khusyuk mendengar the host bercakap daripada atas stage... sahih semua orang pandang aku.. and they are really dressed up... even the orang dalam nearby bistro tu pun pandang aku macam baru turun dari langit...hahahahahah mana I tau... dia takde tulis apa apa pun di Entrance tu... nothing... pintu tu pun tak ada orang jaga hehehe so I continued walking 'selamba'ly macam tak ada apa-apa... Tanpa Pandang Belakang hehehehehhe...

Fitness Wave

Contrary to what I said, I went brisk-walking at the Hutan Bandar and not Istana Garden.

Sudden change of plan. That's me. When I was driving, I thought of the Hutan Bandar track. Berbukit.. luas.. all the better for me. Istana Garden, though airy and beautiful, the track is easier.... I am looking for challenging track.

I completed three rounds. Bestnya lah hai.. what's with the river, the lake... up the hill ada playground and ada things yang macam FBI training tu.. yang ada cobweb tu... tapi orang ramai.. kalau tak ada orang harus aku dah panjat dah hehehehe... fitness konon.. FBI konon..

mula-mula nak tambah lagi sampai five rounds but decided not to overdo it.. lagipun kena pergi ambil baju di dry-cleaners..

on the way back... singgah mamak to buy some kitty food... ala yang small packages... I was in my jogging attire lah.. so ada a few guys outside kedai.. masa masuk tu dia dah jeling jeling tapi aku nampak! biasa la mata macam jackpot hehehe...

bila i nak masuk kereta.. one of them said.. lepas jogging beli coklat pulak.. (eleh taktik lama nak strike conversation)

Coolly, I angkat the plastik and showed him, "Mana ada, makanan kucinglah". Then I smiled and got into the car and drove away. He said something but I konon tak dengar dan tak perasan, sebenarnya aku malas nak layan.

Huh, suka hati la kalau nak makan chocolate pun.. but in any case padan muka dia malu sendiri.. miahahahahaha... lain kali jangan suka hati buat assumption.
